Formally known as the Half Ironman, the Sunsmart Busselton Ironman 70.3, is an internationally recognised event, and attracts over 2000 participants and their supporters from around the world.
The event consists of a 1.9 kilometre swim, in the pristine waters of Geographe Bay, a flat, fast paced 90.1 kilometre bike leg through the Tuart Forests, and finishes with a 21.1 kilometre run along the Busselton Foreshore.
The Busselton Festival of Triathalon, incorporating the Ironman 70.3, also hosts a retail expo, Kids Triathlon, charity breakfast, chat with the professionals and athlete visits to local schools.
